Jerry Briones has over ten years of combined experience directing global outreach, sales, business recruitment, business development, retention, expansion, and workforce.

The Deputy Executive Director will be responsible for GBIC’s International business and development company recruitment, expansion and workforce efforts in Mexico, Canada and abroad.  This position fosters strong collaborative relationships with Matamoros, Mexico and other strategic manufacturing hubs throughout Mexico.

Jerry Briones is a former United States Marine Corps Sergeant, a communications major from the University of Texas at Brownsville, previously licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance, and has completed extensive training in various fields of economic development.  Mr. Briones has led and participated in multiple boards and advisory committees, including the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce.
